Pneumatic Grinder and Sander Set

Tools and uses

• Straight grinder PDSS 16 B2: For shaping, deburring and grinding straight or curved surfaces. Includes a 10-piece grinding-bit set and collets for ⅛" (3,2 mm) and ¼" (6,35 mm) shanks.
• Cut-off tool PDTS 6.3 C4: Cuts sheet material up to 3 mm. Compatible with commercially available cut-off wheels up to Ø 76 mm. A cut-off wheel Ø 76 mm is supplied pre-installed; a tool set for changing wheels is also included.
• Disc sander PDTLS 6.3 A1: For fine sanding, rust removal and removing welding spatter. Uses a hook-and-loop sanding disc Ø 50 mm; three sanding sheets with grit 120 are included.

Connection and operation

Each tool has a ¼" (6,35 mm) compressed-air connection, a trigger switch with a safety lock and a pre-installed plug nipple with sealing ring. Required air pressure is up to 6,3 bar. A compressed-air hose is not included; the hose and compressor must supply the required pressure and airflow.

The tools are made from aluminium, steel and plastic. Commercially available attachments and discs of the specified sizes are compatible. Other consumables, including cut-off wheels and sanding sheets, are sold separately.

Care and safety

Before each use, check that the compressed-air connection is sealed. Wear protective clothing, especially safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection. Clean the tools regularly and tighten the collets occasionally. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for abrasive wear parts, including grit size and material type. Beginners are advised to practise briefly before use.
